The serial number 835748 is stamped at the barrel joint, and the underside of the receiver. The left side of the receiver says “Harrington & Richardson….Worcester, MA” (i’ll try to get a picture of it). SO, let the games begin on who knows the age of this gun!

The Topper models were/are utility grade shotguns. They are strongly made, have self-adjusting lock-up and fairly simple but robust actions. I’d say they are a good “quality” for the price – nothing fancy, but usable with hundreds of thousands sold and still being sold under the Remington / Marlin ownership.
