The event features several live performances as well as an all-ages Old Fiddler’s Contest. Savory treats and delicious sweets are offered throughout the event including a Catfish Dinner and annual BBQ Cookoff.

The streets of Turkey and the grounds of the old high school were teeming with visitors on this, the biggest day of the year for the small Texas town. The highlight of the event is the free outdoor concert held on the old football field which featured the Friends of the Texas Playboys, Billy Mata, and Jason Roberts to name a few.

Stop by and learn just how important Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys were to all music genres. So glad we visited and spent some time at this small but interesting and informative museum.
