Being a left handed shooter, the tang safety and pump action appeal to me. The Savage model 170 was manufactured from 1970 thru 1981 in 30-30 and .35Rem.They came in ultra plain and checkered stock and forearm. The one I traded for is in very good condition and has checkering.
