Does Colt have a lifetime warranty?
Does Colt have a warranty? Colt does not offer an express warranty, but acknowledges implied Magnuson-Moss Act obligations. Colt products will be serviced for defects in original factory materials or workmanship to the original purchaser at no charge for one year from the date of retail purchase.
Can you buy directly from Colt?
Colt’s Manufacturing Company does not sell firearms directly to consumers. To purchase a new gun from the Colt Custom Gun Shop, please contact Customer Service.
Can you buy gun parts online legally?
In California, it’s legal to buy gun parts online and assemble your own gun — no background check required. If you assemble a gun, California law does require you to apply for a serial number to put on the gun. All gun accessories, such as ammunition vary greatly from state to state.
Why is colt out of stock?
In a statement posted on the company’s website Thursday, CEO Dennis Veilleux explained that it was stopping production of civilian sporting rifles due to “significant excess manufacturing capacity” in that market and low consumer demand for Colt’s products. Its website lists all rifles as “out of stock.”

What kind of guns did the Colt company make?
