Can you pump a BB gun too much?
They do use compressed air to shoot the BB’s, but there is no spring that creates the air pressure needed to move our BB. Instead, you pump air directly into a chamber by using some kind of handle on the gun. If you pump more than your guns limit, you risk breaking things, and that not good.
How does an air pump BB gun work?
Pump air guns are designed with a lever that acts as an air pump for the gun. In order to fire it, the user must pump the lever to pressurize the internal reservoir. Once the pressure is built, pulling the trigger releases this pressure and propels the pellet forward out of the barrel.
Is it bad to leave a BB gun pump?

How does a full auto BB gun work?
The movable lever on the bottom of the gun moves a small piston in a tube. Inside the tube, there is a check valve that lets air flow in but not back out. This quickly compresses the air in the chamber behind the BB, building up the pressure needed to propel it down the barrel.
Why does my air gun not hold air?
Had the same problem, it was cheaper to buy a new one. Don’t waste your time with it if it’s not under warrenty. Put oil on the seal. On some rifles, especially cheap ones, the seal or o rings will dry up and shrink, thus not holding air. If you oil it, the seal absorbs it and enlargens, and holds the air.
Why does my pellet gun not pump air?

A Daisy Spring-Air BB Rifle shoots 4.5mm BBs that are fired by cocking the rifle with a lever and feeding the BBs into position by raising the muzzle and pouring the BBs into it. However, these air guns will occasionally need servicing. Determine whether or not the trigger is working properly.
Why does my rifle jam when I shoot a BB?
