When Wi-Fi is available, TextNow defaults to that. When it’s not, I can still make and take phone calls and send and receive text messages. The service even includes free calls to Canada, conference calling, voicemail and group texting. This could be a genuine money-saver for some users and a lifesaver for others.
What is TextNow and how does it work?
TextNow is essentially an end-to-end phone service contained inside an app. You get free texts and free calls over WiFi, meaning when you’re at home – or on a WiFi network – you don’t have to pay for calls.
Why can’t I receive texts from TextNow?
If you’re having trouble receiving a receive verification code (or short codes) please reach out to that company’s support and verify if they support TextNow. If the app you’re trying to verify does support VoIP numbers but the code isn’t coming through we recommend trying a voice call instead.
