It’s a fine firearm. In 50AE the power is awesome, have shot mine on steel targets at 100 yds. The 44 Magnum barrel is just a bit tamer, early guns (Mark VII) were available in 41 and 357 Mag as well. If you decide to get one in 50, get the compensated barrel, it makes an incredible difference.
