There maybe a barrel code though. If shooting the gun on the left side of the barrel near the reciever there maybe multiple stampings. On the homepage of this site there is a section that says manufacture dating. It will ealk you through and tell you how to date your rifle. Having a hard time relating the barrell code and date tables to my barrell.
